Tom had a lot of tests done today since he is a new patient at the new hospital. They are also weaning him from his trach (i.e. he is breathing on his own), and that is going very well. All of the therapists and doctors will assess him this week, and sometime next week we will have a family meeting to discuss his condition now, and the plan for the future.
Please continue to pray for his recovery and for wisdom for the doctors and therapists.
Update on Mary, the former neighbor who had an aneursym the same day:
She was home for a week, then back at Loyola last weekend for pain in her head again. I believe she is home now, but if you think of it, pray for her as well as they figure out exactly what is going on.
