Tuesday August 2

We had an encouraging visit this afternoon!  All of his numbers look good.  They took him off the insulin line, but will continue to monitor him.  The shunt surgery went well.  He still has a fever, but it is not high.

He responded better today to his daily "pokes" from the nurses than he has in weeks.  We were all encouraged by his responses.

All in all, a very encouraging day 17 of this journey.

Please pray for the fever to go down.

Please pray for the next step.  He may be ready to be moved to the specialty hospital very soon.   The family will be in Iowa for Bryan's brother Michael's wedding this weekend.  Some of us are uncomfortable moving him somewhere new before we leave for the weekend. Please pray for wisdom.

Thanks again for your prayers,

Brenna

  1. I can't believe it's been 17 days already. Are they still planning to take him out of the coma on day 21? We will be praying for all of you this weekend during the wedding.
